Tick the fixes you want, select the artwork, and "let the doctor fix it": open paths joined and closed, stray points and empty text gone, duplicate and hidden objects removed, pointless clipping masks cleared, all without changing how the artwork looks.

Check-up: tick, select, fix

The Check-up tab lists every fix with a tick box: remove hidden objects, invisible paths, stray points and empty text, artwork hidden outside its mask, and duplicate paths stacked on top of each other; join, close and tidy paths; clear clipping masks. Select the artwork, click "Let the doctor fix it", and you get one summary at the end with what was done and how long it took.

Paths that cut and print cleanly

Open paths whose ends touch are joined into one, and Join Reasonably joins the nearest free ends up to a distance you set. Close filled or all open paths, merge points sitting on top of each other, and put fills and their outline copies back together into one shape, only where the outline sits right above its fill, so the artwork looks the same.

Clipping masks gone, artwork untouched

PDF imports leave masks everywhere. VectorDoc removes page-size masks and any mask with nothing sticking out of it, with a Quick check or a Deep check that looks inside groups, and deletes artwork that sits completely outside its mask and can never show. A mask is only removed when it changes nothing you can see. Delete unused clipping paths and ungroup what's left as they go.

Rasterize the right way

Illustrator rasterizes everything hidden inside a clipping path, giving you a big image full of white. VectorDoc keeps the clipping path and rasterizes only what shows, slightly larger than the path so there are no stray edge pixels, and can do many shapes at once as separate images.

More tools in the kit

Restore an embedded image to its own size, or keep its size and only take out the distortion; straighten rotated shapes from two anchor points; clip selected shapes to an offset or fixed size; and remove unused colours and colour groups.
