Updating PowerScripts
PowerScripts updates itself - there's no separate updater app to run any more.
PowerScripts 3.8 is rolling out in stages. If you don't have the newest version yet, it will reach you automatically by the end of November. Want it now? Go to Install / update, download the latest installer and run it. Your licence and settings stay as they are.
Install an update
- When a new version is available, PowerScripts shows an update bar in the panel: click it to update.
- Or open the panel menu (top right corner of the PowerScripts panel) and choose Update PowerScripts.
PowerScripts downloads and installs the update, then tells you when it's done. If it says a restart is needed, close and reopen Illustrator.
You don't need to uninstall or deactivate anything before updating. Your licence, scripts and settings are kept.
Go back to an earlier version
If an update causes a problem, open the panel menu and choose Choose PowerScripts Version…. Pick an earlier version from the list and start it. Earlier versions stay installed, so you can keep working while we fix the problem - please also report the issue.
Still using PowerScripts 3.7?
PowerScripts 3.7 was updated with the PowerScripts Updater app. To move to the current version, use the new installer: see Windows and macOS Installation. Your licence, scripts and settings carry over.
